Pascale started taking piano lessons at age five, and by first grade she was packing her sheet music to school so she could play for her classmates at the end of music class. Voice lessons, talent shows, choir and band practices quickly followed. She became interested in jazz in middle school, attending summer camps with the Monterey Jazz Festival, and performing in the Monterey Jazz Festival’s All-Star Choir. She made her first album when she was fourteen and has been singing, composing, producing, and playing piano and guitar ever since. Her first band was called “Pascale’s Triangle,” a name she continues to use for various trios.
While completing her two degrees in Music and Environmental studies at UC Berkeley, Pascale performed with the Cal Jazz Choir, served as Co-President of Berkeley’s Singer and Songwriting Club, co-taught the course “Berklee at Berkeley”, and interned at Wyldwood Recording Studios and Tiny Telephone Studios in Berkeley. In her senior year, she was the featured vocalist for Nu Jazz directed by Myra Melford. She graduated with honors and immediately went on her first tour with her friend Sophia Eliana. Since then she has performed in venues such as Fernwood in Big Sur, the Sonoma Bluegrass Festival, Denver’s Underground Music Showcase, the Volkstheater in Munich Germany, and Nana Hari in Tokyo, Japan.
She is grateful to have so many kind and supportive mentors and for the wonderful friends she has made through music. She looks forward to connecting with the MMS community & sharing her knowledge and passion for music with her students!
