Originally from San Diego, Chris Schnalzer began his musical journey as a choir singer at the age of 12. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Redlands in 2023 and completed his teaching credential through San Diego State University in 2025. As a performer, he has sung with the San Diego Master Chorale and performed as a chorus member alongside Mainly Mozart, gaining experience in a wide range of professional choral settings. He is a classically trained vocalist with experience across many vocal styles, and also plays guitar and piano, which he incorporates into his teaching and musicianship.

Throughout his time as a musician and educator, Chris has developed a passion for helping students discover their own voice and creativity. He believes music is a powerful way to build confidence, express emotion, and connect with others. With experience teaching students of a wide range of abilities, including ample experience working with students with special needs, he strives to create a supportive and encouraging environment for every learner. Drawing from his background in classical training, contemporary music, and music education, he works with students to develop strong fundamentals while encouraging individuality and musical exploration. Whether a student is beginning their musical journey or looking to refine their skills, he hopes to help each student grow into a confident and expressive musician.
