Don't Forget About Your Body


This is simple but so so important. When we concentrate, we tend to tense up. It’s the body’s reaction to the mind working. Without even noticing, our bodies can be tight, our shoulders up to our ears, and our arms constricted too close to our bodies. Get in the habit of checking in with your body every couple of minutes during a practice session. How does it feel? Drop your shoulders, shake your arms at your side, take a deep breath. Feel your feet connect to the ground. Pull your energy down from your mind into your body. And then continue practicing your little ass off!
